  1. Hey, Congrats. I must admit at first I was envious, jealous and disappointed at you all finding the coin. But now I'm just happy. You guys deserve it. I have been looking for some time too. Wish I could be there on Friday. Please let me know the exact location of the coin and your methods. I am truly on pins and needles here. Again congratulations. Mike Castelli rnc21@mac.com

  4. Axiom of all buried treasures: "Other treasure hunters are after the treasure"

    After spending hours on the hunt and finding a partner near Catskill who checked out everything from the Trustco Bank to the bridge over the Catskill, the rocks on the other side of the Hudson across from the point, captain Kidds Inn the house with the two chests on the porch......you guys found it:)

    I heard that the coin could only be seen i hour out of the day which means that 24 had something to do with the puzzle and somehow you where given the correct hour when to look for the coin?

    I can't see how the Hudson did this unless it has a rising and settling tide or a dam is releasing water etc.

    Clearly you did not stumble on the coin but rather used your intellect to solve the mystery.

    I can live with that.......just amazing you put all the parts together out of what 20,000 people:)

    Best

  6. Thanks for all the well wishes. All will come out tomorrow. We've been sworn to secrecy and as good pirates we're bound to the code.

  7. Hey Rick and Team Ria,

    How did you know that the coin could only be seen 1 hour a day? What clue in the story told you that?

    Thanks,
    Ted

  8. The puzzle showed a hidden A1 in North and a hidden A1 in Hudson. Together this spelled out IN A A. Off of Main Street leading to the Point you will see the road shaped just like a A. This is Dutchman's Landing Park. Being from Ohio I never knew that the Hundson River rose and fell. Here we can see the chart;

    It is this mistake on my end that cost team Rick/Mike the crown:)

    Mike looked everywhere in that park to no success.

    Team Ria used there intellect and yes I think the Muse.........lead Mike to the coin:)
